Getting Ready for Boston
I will be heading to Boston early Monday morning to attend AIIM On Demand. As Tom Wetjen recently pointed out, AIIM on Demand provides an opportunity to to check out technology to manage the entire document lifecycle.
For me, walking the through the halls of AIIM and On Demand reminds me of standing in the LEGO aisle at Target. You can literally build a complete Web-enabled content production and distribution system by plugging together technology from the various vendors at the show.
There will be a number of sites providing live coverage at the show. I will be providing some analysis here on Printmode.
Becky Dziedzic, fleet commander of Xerox's blogging efforts promises show coverage at In the Balance Blog and the "Big I, little t" Blog.
Gavin Jordan-Smith, Xerox's new vp of Commercial Print and Pre-Press Segments will be moderating a Digital Print Roundtable/Focus Group on the 17th. The discussion coming out the roundtable will be turned into a podcast. Details on the roundtable are on In The Balance.
Of course WhatTheyThink will be providing live show coverage on a special section of their website. Also be sure to check out the WhatTheyThink photo blog. I'll be posting some photos there.
Steve Duncan will be at the show. Steve comes from the big iron world of web presses, so I look forward to his take on the show.
