Printmode and PrintWiki highlighted in PrintPlanet Notes
Both Printmode and PrintWiki were highlighted in the December PrintPlanet Notes that went out to all PrintPlanet subscribers. In the notes, Dave Mainwaring writes:
We haven't made special mention of a forum member for awhile. Adam Dewitz has launched PrintWiki - The Free Encyclopedia of Print. "PrintWiki provides a collaborative platform to support a comprehensive, open-source encyclopedia of printing and publishing."Adam also has a most excellent blog http://printmode.net/blog/. He started his blog when there were relatively no printing blogs and the ones that did exist were in a state of decay. My sense is the more people that read Printmode, the more dialog, which results in more writing. Printmode is a printing industry blog. Topics vary from discussions on print science and technology to the convergence of print and electronic media and the issues faced by printers and publishers as the industry goes through a radical redefinition.
Thanks Dave for all the kind words, and for spreading the word about PrintWiki to the PrintPlanet community! I would like to add that PrintWiki would not have come to fruition without the help of Michael Woods and that PrintWiki is nothing without a community of editors. If you haven't joined yet, stop by the wiki and sign-up for an account. We would love to have you help us build a comprehensive, open-source knowledge base of printing and publishing information.
