Feeds: Atom 1.0 | What is this?
If you're unfamiliar with news feeds, take some time to familiarize with the format. News feeds provide a fast and convenient way to read content published on the web. You will need to have newsreader application (aka aggregators) to subscribe to feeds. If don't have one yet, I recommend Ranchero Software's NetNewsWire (Mac) or Nick Bradbury's FeedDemon (Windows) or Google Reader (Web-based).

I was involved in a small implementation of JDF and I have to say JDF is a monster.
Sure thing it saves some $$$ and improves efficency in large scale production enveronment, but there is only so much for the average printer to gain from.
Interoperability is also a big issue for JDF. There are too many ways to skin a cat. I don't know how vendors can agree on a particular one to make their MISes interoperable. If they don't the cost of implementing all JDF features is just enormous.
